INSURANCE AND FEES

Each clinician at The KC Collective functions independently.  We ask that you reach out individually to your clinician of choice to learn more about which insurance panels they are in network with or for their self pay out of network rates.  

We have included some general information about insurance to asssist you in navigating common insurance questions.  

DO I HAVE COVERAGE?

It is the client’s responsibility to make sure they have mental health insurance coverage prior to meeting with a therapist.

When contacting your insurance company here are the questions that you should ask:​

Do I have mental health coverage (billing codes most frequently used are 90834, 90847, and 90837)?

Is my therapist in network with my plan (you will need therapist’s individual name and the address for The KC Collective)?

Is there a deductible that needs to be met prior to me paying my co pay/co insurance?

What is my co pay/co insurance?

Do I have out of network benefits in the event my clinician of choice is out of network?

WHAT INSURANCE DO YOU TAKE?

Some, but not all clinicians within The KC Collective accept the following in-network plans:

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield of NC 

  • Blue Advantage

  • Blue Care

  • Blue Options

  • Blue Select

  • Classic Blue

  • North Carolina State Health Plan

  • Medcost 

  • Aetna 

  • United Healthcare/Optum
